Yearly well-woman exams are annual physicals that can help identify changes in your health to ensure early treatment. Our doctors at Sweetwater Medical Associates genuinely listen to your concerns and explain everything in terms that you can understand. Many medical problems can be prevented or treated if detected early.

Well-woman exams may include a health history, examinations, blood pressure testing, weight, lab tests, medication review, and referrals for specialized tests, such as mammogram or colonoscopy.

One of our primary care providers will conduct a general physical examination, clinical breast examination, Pap smear, pelvic examination, and rectal examination (for women over age 35).

Blood and urine tests may be used to screen for cholesterol, diabetes, and thyroid conditions. Additional services may include immunizations, sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing, contraceptive counseling, and menopause or midlife concerns.
